Carlos is a 72-year-old man living near the California–Mexico border. With almost nothing to his name, he didn’t hesitate to give a stranger the last 90 cents he had. That simple act of kindness shows the kind of man he is—selfless, generous, and full of heart.

In return, Carlos was surprised with a gift of generosity. But he deserves more. A man who gives when he has so little should not have to struggle to survive.
