Despite His Pain, Felix Chose Kindness

When I asked Felix how I could make his day better, he only requested a Coke. But behind that humble ask was a heartbreaking reality, his foot ravaged by frostbite and an open wound crawling with flies. His tent was stolen. He has no sleeping bag, nothing to shield him from the cold.

Yet when I offered him a gift, Felix did something that stopped me in my tracks he asked me to donate to a stranger on social media instead.

Even in his darkest hour, Felix chose generosity over his own survival.
