We recently met Kevin just moments after he was discharged from the hospital. He was standing on the street with nothing but a cardboard sign and the thin hospital pants he walked out in. Kevin shared a heartbreaking reality with us. He desperately needs dialysis to survive but he cannot receive this critical medical treatment because he does not have a permanent address. Without a safe place to live he fears he only has a month or two left. Despite facing such a heavy burden Kevin remained incredibly kind and endlessly grateful when we brought him a simple meal and some fresh clothes. His gentle spirit and genuine appreciation in the face of such terrifying adversity truly moved us.
