I stand behind my counter at Donut Connection every day, working hard to keep this small business alive in Shakopee. Recently, a stranger walked in and told me he couldn't pay for a donut until the next day. I didn't hesitate or judge I just reached for my favorite Bavarian donut and handed it over with a smile. That's just who I am.

When he revealed it was a test and tried to tip me, my first instinct was to decline and get back to work in the kitchen. I've always believed in putting community over a quick dollar it's what keeps neighborhoods like ours alive.
