She Gave Away Her Last Dollar While Down to Her Last Two Diapers

I grew up in the foster system. I know what it feels like to have nobody in your corner. I spent years homeless, fighting just to survive, and I finally got myself housing. I finally got stable.

Then I saw this little baby girl about to end up in the same system that failed me and I couldn't let that happen. I took her in. No hesitation. Because every child deserves someone who chooses them.

But I'm not going to lie it's hard. I'm down to my last two diapers right now. I'm counting every dollar until my next check. And even still, when I saw a man lying on the sidewalk the other day, I stopped. I offered him one of the only two dollars I had. Because that's what we're supposed to do we look out for each other.

I believe it takes a village. I've been doing this on my own, but I can't keep going alone. If you can help with diapers, groceries, or anything at all, it would mean the world to me and my baby girl. I just need my village to show up the way I try to show up for everyone else.
