Jayden Asked For A Bible Before Asking For Food

When you meet someone who has absolutely nothing but still holds tightly to hope it changes you completely. We found Jayden living out in the bush without a safe place to sleep or a guaranteed meal for the day. Despite his harsh reality he smiled and told us he is still holding on and remains completely faithful. When we gave him some money to buy food Jayden surprised us in the most beautiful way. Instead of focusing on a meal he immediately asked if the cash was enough to buy him a Zulu Holy Bible. He even took the time to carefully trace the serial numbers of the money in the dirt showing a deep sense of presence and gratitude.

His spirit remains totally unbroken but his living conditions are dangerous and unfair. We want to get Jayden off the streets and into a safe shelter where he can sleep warmly and eat regularly. He has asked for so little from the world but together we can give him the fresh start and safety he truly deserves.
