I Wake Up Every Day Just Hoping To Survive

I'm Tara. You might see me sitting on the grass with my cardboard sign and backpack full of socks I try to sell. Every morning, I wake up in a tent and face the same struggle all over again.

My husband and I left a dangerous situation, and we've been fighting just to get by ever since. Finding work has been nearly impossible. But even now, when someone shows me kindness, my first thought is always whether there's enough for my husband and our dog too.

I'm exhausted from just surviving. I dream of sleeping in a real bed and not worrying about our next meal. Every dollar you give goes directly toward helping us find housing and food a chance to finally rebuild our lives.
