Fadhil and Ghayda are a gentle elderly couple surviving the aftermath of conflict with almost nothing left. Fadhil recently went through a serious medical emergency where dangerously blocked blood flow led to complex surgery and ultimately the amputation of three of his toes. He is recovering, but the medical care he still needs is completely beyond what this couple can afford.

Every night they sleep on the ground inside a leaking tent, sharing one thin blanket against the cold. Too old to work, they have no way to support themselves through this. They hold on quietly, side by side, with nowhere else to turn.
