I have been homeless for nine years. That is a long time to sleep outside and figure out each day from scratch. Right now, I really need basic things that most people take for granted, like food, a hygiene kit, clean pants, and a pair of shoes.

I genuinely want to get off the street, but I will be honest, I am skeptical. After nine years, I have seen a lot of empty promises come and go.
