I am sitting on the concrete sidewalk right now without a shelter or family. I am experiencing the kind of hunger that goes far beyond simply skipping a meal. I am not asking for much today. I just really want a warm burger to fill my empty stomach and a blanket to help me get through the night.

Being out here often makes me feel invisible even though we all wake up with the exact same need to feel warm fed and seen. Whatever road brought me to this point what matters most to me right now is not having to face tonight completely alone.
