I Am Exhausted But I Refuse To Leave A Friend Behind

Christine and I know each other from surviving out here on the sidewalk. She recently had a stroke and was discharged from the hospital with nowhere to go. I have been pushing her around in a cart trying to keep her safe. I am completely exhausted but I refuse to abandon someone who is this vulnerable.

Even though we have almost nothing I still try to feed the stray cats around us. There are moments when I want to give up but seeing Christine fight to survive keeps me pulling that cart forward. We are facing this crisis entirely on our own.
