I sit on this corner every day with my small bucket and an even heavier heart. When someone asked me for help, I didn't think twice I gave them the little change I had. That's how my mother raised me, and that lesson has never left me, even in my darkest moments.

I may not have much, but I still believe in kindness. Now I'm asking for a little kindness in return a chance at a roof over my head, a warm meal, and the stability I've been without for so long.
