I Gave Away My Only Coat in 23 Below Zero Weather

It was twenty three below zero and I was standing outside in a sweater. I gave my jacket to a friend because he was cold. I'd do it again.

When they took me inside and bought me a warm coat, I knew right away it wasn't for me it was going to my brother.

I lost my dad right before Christmas. My mom's fighting cancer. But I can't watch the people I love be cold while I'm warm. I just can't.

I've been homeless through all of it. But honestly, I don't think about myself much. I just want to be a good father to my daughter and find a little bit of happiness for us.

I'm not asking for much just a safe, warm place where she can lay her head at night.
