I spent years as a union carpenter my hands built homes for families I never even met. Now, for the last eleven years, I've been living under a bridge in Reno.

I chose this spot under the overpass for one reason, my dog. He's got a short coat, and the Nevada sun is brutal. If I can't give him a roof, I can at least give him shade. He's stuck by me through everything, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep him safe.

I'm not looking for a handout I just need a hand up. A chance to get back on my feet, find a place where we can both sleep without worrying about what comes next.
