Every morning, I wake up and smile not because everything is okay, but because I refuse to let my family see me fall apart. I was recently diagnosed with eye cancer, and as terrifying as that sounds, I still get up, take care of my home, and hold my loved ones close. I don't want them to carry my fear.

But today, I'm asking for something I've never been good at asking for help.

I need surgery to save my vision and my life, but the costs are far beyond what I can afford on my own. I've spent my life trying to be a light for the people around me. Now I'm asking you to help me keep that light from going out.
