I Lost Everything But Not My Hope and My Smile

My entire life was in that backpack my ID, my clothes, everything. When it was stolen, I had nothing left but the shirt on my back.

I used to work as a chef before the pandemic changed everything. Now I'm just trying to get back on my feet, but without my documents, I can't even apply for work. Despite it all, I try to stay grateful for a bottle of water, for kindness from strangers, for another day to keep going.
