After 28 Years Of Hard Work, A Medical Crisis Left Him With Nowhere To Go

For almost 30 years, I showed up every day as a mechanic, a driver, a construction worker. I built things, fixed things, and earned my way. Then pneumonia nearly killed me, and doctors had to remove my right lung. After that, everything fell apart.

Since 2011, I've been living on the streets. Recently, city workers told me to pack my life into plastic bags and move or get arrested. No shelter. No help. I broke down crying in my tent.

My name is Bob. I spent my life working with my hands for other people. Now I just need a safe place to breathe and rest literally with one lung and no roof over my head.

The funds raised will go directly toward housing, replacing what I've lost, and giving me basic stability. I've been carrying this weight alone for too long.
