I've Housed Homeless Families for 20 Years

For the past 20 years, I've opened my one bedroom home to homeless women and families because I believe we're here to help each other. At 64, battling diabetes, high blood pressure, and recovering from 60 major surgeries, I'm facing my own crisis now.

My rent and utilities total $1,035 monthly, and I can't cover them alone anymore. Even sitting on the street asking for help, I still hand out candy whether people donate or not because giving is who I am.

I've spent two decades making sure others had a roof over their heads. Now I'm at risk of losing mine.
