That Smile Deserves a Home

I met Chris, a Vietnam Veteran, on the street yesterday. Despite being homeless and having just had his bike stolen, he lit up with the most genuine smile when I asked him to bust a move.

When I asked what would help him most, his answer wasn't shelter or food it was replacing that bike so he could look for work. That's who Chris is: a man who wants to contribute, not take handouts.

I've already helped him get a new bike, but he needs more. He needs a job. He needs a home. He needs the stability he earned through his service to our country.
