He Gave His Last Dollar While Going Hungry Himself

I've been on the streets my whole life. Forty four years. I know what it's like to go days without eating. But when someone came up to me asking for food, I didn't think twice. I reached into my pocket and gave what I had. Yeah, I was hungry too, but that person needed help, and helping people is just what you're supposed to do.

I don't have family. I don't have a home to go back to. I've made it this far because of a few good friends and because I just keep going. But I'd be lying if I said I don't dream about a warm bed and a meal I don't have to wonder about.

Some kind people are trying to change that for me, and honestly, it's hard to believe anyone would do that. But they are. They're raising money so I can have a real place to live, food to eat, and a chance at something I've never had: stability.
