I was just looking for something to lay on cardboard, anything to keep me and my baby off the cold ground. I'm pregnant and I've been surviving outside in freezing temperatures. I just want somewhere warm before my baby comes.

When someone stopped to help me and took me to get a tent, I grabbed the cheapest one. I didn't want to be greedy I know people work hard for their money. They let me pick out a few other things too, and I grabbed some candy. Not for me, but to hand out to strangers. Just because I don't have much doesn't mean I can't make someone smile.

I don't need a lot. Just a bed, a roof, and a safe place to bring my baby into this world. That's all I'm asking for.
