Seamus Deserves a Fighting Chance

I just met Seamus outside a Burger King. He'd just been released from the hospital after a stroke and was resting not panhandling, just trying to catch his breath. He told me he hadn't eaten since last night and has no family left to turn to.

Everything he owns fits in his backpack. Yet when I offered him a meal, his smile was so genuine it broke my heart.

Seamus has a welfare appointment tomorrow that could get him into housing, but tonight he has nowhere safe to sleep. I want to help him show up to that appointment with dignity in clean clothes, well fed, and rested.
