I Just Got Out of the Hospital Now We're Sleeping in Our Car

Nine weeks ago I had major back surgery. Yesterday I was discharged. Tonight, my wife and I are sleeping in our car with our dog.

I still need a second operation to finish what the first one started but we're stranded far from home in Champaign, Illinois, with two failing tires, an almost empty tank, and very little else.

I'm not asking for much. Just enough to get us home safely so I can get the care I still need.
