I've Been Homeless Since 13 But I Still Believe in Kindness

I'm Hector. I lost my home when I was thirteen, and I've been living on the streets ever since. Most days, you'll find me out in the cold picking up trash around the neighborhood. People ask me why I do it when I have nothing, but to me, it's simple I want to make a difference, even if it's small.

I've never expected anything in return for the kindness I try to show. But after four years of sleeping outside, I'm hoping maybe someone will show me that same kindness back. I dream of having a safe place to sleep, a chance to focus on my future, and the warmth of knowing people care.
