A Fathers Only Wish To Hear His Daughter's Voice

When we stopped and asked him what he needed most, he didn't ask for money or food. He said he needed a phone so he could call his daughter and check on his disabled mom.

His little girl needs to know her daddy hasn't forgotten her. He told us she's the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up and the last thing on his mind before he falls asleep, wherever that may be. And his mother he said he'd walk to her himself if she needed him.

We gave him a phone, clean clothes, a meal, and a backpack. When he heard his daughter's voice for the first time in so long, he broke down right in front of us. But he's still out there. Still trying.

He's not asking for the world. Just a chance. A safe place to rest and a little stability so he can get back on his feet and back to the people he loves.
