On January 9th, I lost the home I built with my late husband Warrick the man I cared for through his battle with cancer. This was the second time I've had to say goodbye to a husband.

When I discovered my insurance wasn't active, I realized I'd lost every physical piece of my history. But when someone gave me a small gift, my first thought was to buy water for the local wildlife.

All I ask is that we be kind to one another. Now I'm hoping for a little of that kindness back as I try to rebuild.
