I met Lewis today, and what started as a simple conversation became something I won't forget. He wasn't asking for handouts just a phone to stay connected and some water. As we talked, he opened up about the mental health crisis that derailed his life and his daily fight to stay clean.

What struck me most was his honesty and hope. We're all human first, he reminded me, and he's right. I got him what I could in the moment, but Lewis needs more than a phone and supplies. He needs a real chance safe housing and the support to rebuild his life.
