I'm Mateo, 24, sleeping on a thin mattress in the snow with only the clothes on my back. Thieves took everything my tent, my ID, my wallet. Without identification, I can't work. Without shelter, I can't survive.

But here's the thing, even now, I'd give my last sweater to keep someone else warm. That's who I am.

I'm sober and fighting to rebuild my life, but I need help replacing my ID and finding safe shelter. I have so much to give back to this world I just need a chance to stand up first.
