Sarah Is Freezing on the Streets Trying to See Her Children Again

We found Sarah sitting on the freezing pavement wrapped in a sleeping bag. When we asked if she needed anything, she softly said, Just a hot chocolate and a doughnut.

After speaking with her, we learned she’s out here for one reason, she’s trying to save enough bus fare to travel to Ilkeston and see her children again. She’s waiting in the cold for an important appointment she refuses to miss.

No mother should have to sit on freezing concrete just to afford a bus ticket to see her kids.
