At 71, I'm Still Working to Pay for My Son's Funeral

I'm 71 years old, and I should be resting. Instead, I'm working every shift I can get because I used my credit cards to bury my son. I just wanted him to have dignity in death what mother wouldn't? Now I'm stuck paying interest that never seems to end.

The hardest part isn't the work, it's that I can't properly grieve. Every time I think of him, I think of the bills.

Just last week, I helped a young mother buy formula for her baby. I may not have much, but I still believe in helping when you can.
