I met Edward after he lost everything. His mother was murdered, and in the aftermath, those responsible stole his home, his belongings, and his vehicle. He went from retired and comfortable to homeless overnight left with only what he could push in a cart.

Despite everything, Edward's character shines through. When I offered him a gift, he chose to pay it forward to a stranger instead. I gave him a sleeping bag, tent, clothes, food, and some cash, but he needs more than emergency help. He needs a real foundation.
