My Mom Walks to My Tent Three Times a Day Just to Make Sure I'm Still Alive

I've been living under a tarp on the sidewalk for months. The cold gets worse every night, and my mom who can't take me in still walks to my tent up to three times a day just to check that I'm okay. Rain, wind, freezing cold. She always comes.

We're hoping for a spot in a tiny home program, but until then I'm out here with nothing between me and winter. I'm vulnerable, and my mom carries that fear every single day.
