A Roll of Tape and a Hug That Reminded Dave He Is Not Forgotten

When someone asked what I needed most, I didn't ask for much just a roll of tape to patch my tent. They offered a brand-new one, but I said the tape would do just fine. That's just how I am.

All I really want is a steady job and a safe place to rest. But it's hard to get back on your feet without the basics a phone to take an employer's call, clean clothes for an interview, a full meal to keep you going.

Some kind people got me a phone and a warm meal, and when we said goodbye, I chose a hug over a handshake because that kindness reminded me I'm not forgotten.

I still have a long road ahead. Every dollar goes directly to my housing, food, and transportation so I can keep pushing toward a better life. And if you can't give, just sharing this page means more than you know.
